On July 28, 2021, Infinet announced that it had helped Muscat Overseas Group deploy wireless infrastructure. Infinet solutions are used as backup solutions to optimize the work of the technical department, which supports key departments of the company.

According to the company, Muscat Overseas Group has its own data center with additional branches connected to it in Muscat, the capital of Oman. Most of these offices connect to the data center using Site-to-Site VPN technology, which is usually used to connect additional locations to the head office, providing connectivity between individual networks. Some such compartments are located quite far apart, although on the line of sight, so the connection had to be stable and reliable.

Muscat Overseas Group engineers responsible for resolving this issue concluded that this method of communication does not ensure the proper performance of everyday operations. They decided to deploy a fixed wireless network that would help ensure proper throughput while being owned exclusively by the customer. One of the reasons for this solution was that the company's customers had to wait a long time for the execution of transactions important for business.

Muscat Overseas Group specialists turned to their partner - HTC, with whom the customer has long been associated with business relations. Prior to this, Muscat Overseas Group used laser communication channels - a more expensive solution, which also did not have the flexibility inherent in modern products. So, HTC suggested using Infinet solutions that are affordable.

The product on which the customer stopped was InfiLINK XG - a system for performing key tasks, connecting one of the important branches of Muscat Overseas Group with the data center. The company's specialists aimed to copy a large array of critical data: all documents had to be copied to servers in the data center in real time. The fact is that it was impossible to wait, and the decision had to be implemented on the spot.

Thus, the installation of Infinet equipment took only one day. Usually, everyone who had previously been involved in the deployment of infrastructure knew that this is a rather time-consuming process: you need to extend and cable adjust. Later, Muscat Overseas Group specialists set up, and the software radio channel earned a few hours later.
