Expenses for the treatment of COVID-19 patients in St. Petersburg over the year increased by 91%

For the treatment of COVID-19 in 2021 in St. Petersburg, 17 billion rubles were added to the funds of the compulsory medical insurance system - 11.1 billion from the FFOMS budget and the reserve fund of the Government of the Russian Federation and 5.95 billion from the city budget. This follows from the report of the acting director of the terfond Vadim Stozharov.

As noted in Smolny, during 2020 and 2021. it was necessary to repeatedly revise the tariffs for payment for treatment in hospitals, taking into account the changes made by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. Petersburg was the first in Russia to set rates for compulsory medical insurance for outpatient patients with COVID-19 coronavirus - 10,060 rubles for 10 days of home observation, biomaterial sampling, medicines and personal protective equipment for medical personnel.

It is noted that despite the increase in hospitalizations of patients with coronavirus, the pandemic slightly affected the provision of planned medical care. The number of hospitalizations decreased by only 1.3%, and the number of outpatient treatment cases in 2021 increased by 21.3% compared to 2020. The volume of planned medical care has almost returned to pre-species indicators. To the usual medical examination procedure, an in-depth one was added - for patients with coronavirus.[1]

2021: Coronavirus infected 1.7% of fully vaccinated Petersburgers

On August 2, 2021, it became known about the proportion of coronavirus COVID-19 patients among residents of St. Petersburg who were completely vaccinated against this infection. We are talking about 1.7% of patients, said Boris Vishnevsky, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly, citing a response received from the city health committee.

According to the data given, as of July 23, 2021 in St. Petersburg, 860 thousand people underwent a full vaccination cycle against coronavirus, of which only 14 672 people.

Only 1.7%. This means that fears "after vaccination, a lot of people still get sick" are not justified. Why do I trust these numbers? Because a month ago, at my request, one of the major hospitals in St. Petersburg carried out the same calculation. And only about 2% of the cowid patients lying in them were vaccinated, the deputy wrote.

The vast majority of vaccinated patients were vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine. As of July 23, 2021, almost 1.2 million Petersburgers were vaccinated with the first component of the drug, almost 820 thousand were fully vaccinated. After the first stage of vaccination, 6.4 thousand people contracted coronavirus. Among those who passed the full cycle, 13,466 people fell ill - 1.64%.

The second component of EpiVakCorona at that time instilled 16 thousand 269 citizens, of which subsequently 988 people, or 6.07%, became infected with coronavirus.

Chairman of the Health Committee Dmitry Lisovets at the end of July 2021 said that several people in St. Petersburg died of coronavirus after undergoing a full vaccination cycle. According to Lisovets, the deceased patients had comorbidities, including oncological and cardiovascular diseases. Lisovets noted that vaccination against COVID-19 does not provide 100% protection against infection and a vaccinated person can also get sick.[2]
