2021: Berezin Sergey Medical Institute opened the first diagnostic center in Belarus

In early August 2021, the St. Petersburg Berezin Sergey Medical Institute (MIBS), specializing in MRI and nuclear medicine, opened the first diagnostic center in Belarus. $1.4 million was invested in this project. In addition to the company itself, Belarusian partners, including Pharmacy Group, invested in it.

According to the press service of MIBS, in the diagnostic center in Vitebsk, a high-level magnetic resonance tomograph Siemens Avanto 1.5T is installed, on which studies of all areas of the head and body will be carried out, including with contrasting amplification. The capacity of the equipment allows you to conduct up to 18 thousand studies per year.

Employees of this medical institution were trained at the MIBS company in St. Petersburg. Thanks to the telemedicine network, Belarusian radiologists will be able to receive online consultations from St. Petersburg colleagues in difficult cases, the Berezin Sergey Medical Institute emphasized.

According to the chairman of the board of MIBS, in Arkady Stolpner Belarus there is a high unmet demand for radiation diagnostics, unlike large Russian cities, where the density of tomographs is already higher than in many countries. Europe COVID-19 The restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic only aggravated the situation: before them, many residents of the eastern regions of the neighboring country went for research, for example, to Smolensk.
