2021: Building an Intelligent Appliance Management System Based on Internet of Things Technology

On August 13, 2021, Concern Radioelectronic Technologies (KRET of the State Corporation Rostec announced that it had begun to create a system for the intelligent management of household appliances. A solution based on Internet of Things technology will allow users to remotely control home devices using a mobile phone or tablet. Part of the costs of developing and launching mass production will be compensated by a subsidy from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

The concern will develop a unified standard of controllers for large electronic household appliances - while manufacturers have to purchase these components exclusively abroad. In addition, software will be developed. The KRET system will allow you to create models of devices for the house, including with intelligent control functions.

The development and organization of serial production of the system will be carried out by Avangard OJSC. The company entered into an agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia for partial compensation of costs through a subsidy.

At the first stage of the project, a system will be created for kitchen appliances: stoves, oven cabinets and steam parks. In addition to remote start-up and control functions, intelligent control will provide automatic selection of optimal parameters for different tasks and types of products. Other features of the system will be the ability to download and store recipes, as well as add your own.

To turn on the oven, stove or steam cooker, it will be enough for the user to enter the mobile application and set the necessary mode of operation or indicate the selected dish. The phone or tablet software will be updated as the next hardware features become available.

"Domestic manufacturers in terms of smart home systems that provide remote management of household appliances depend on imports. Our solution, on the one hand, will increase the degree of localization of production, on the other, it guarantees the expansion of the model range and equipment functionality. According to preliminary calculations, in the first year of mass production, the volume of sales of systems will exceed 250 million rubles. It is worth noting that the demand for such platforms is growing from year to year, which means that development will be in demand, "- noted the general director of the Concern Radioelectronic Technologies Nikolai Kolesov.

According to experts, the capacity of the Russian market for intelligent control systems for the house as of August 13, 2021 is at least 250 million rubles, foreign - about 1250 billion dollars.
