2021: Ministry of Emergency Situations has developed a standard for car safety

On August 13, 2021, it became known about the development in Russia of the standard "Safety in emergency situations. Vehicle Rescue Card. Terms and definitions. General requirements. " It was created at the All-Russian Research Institute on Civil Defense and Emergencies (VNII GOCHS) of the Ministry of Emergencies.

According to Kommersant, with reference to the corresponding document, car manufacturers will have to put special markings on the body of the vehicle in "easily accessible places" - a barcode, QR code and RFID tag, counting which, the rescuer will be able to access the electronic "rescue card" of the car.

To request information, emergency and emergency services must be provided with electronic mobile devices that allow you to read the code for marking an emergency vehicle, with the ability to visualize the rescue card on the screen of the mobile device.

The electronic mobile device should be manufactured with the protection level IP69K, as well as have the ability to install an additional memory card, the volume of which allows you to store all information on vehicle rescue cards, in the absence of the Internet, the document says.

It is specified that the rescue card is necessary for emergency services when working with an emergency car during an emergency. It is part of the technical documentation for the vehicle and is developed by the manufacturer for each model of the car. If changes have been made to the design of the car that affect the work of rescuers, the manufacturer is developing a new rescue map.

Modern cars are arranged according to a universal principle - it is always clear where the gas tank, engine and other key units and units are located, says Anton Shaparin, vice president of the National Automobile Union. In his opinion, the marking may raise questions among car owners, since it will be applied to the external parts of the car (the cabin and hood space in the event of an accident are usually inaccessible).[1]
