Inclusion in the Unified Register of Russian Electronic Products
Communication equipment oDAS RADIUS manufactured by the Izhevsk Radio Plant is included in the Unified Register of Russian Electronic Products and has received the status of telecommunications equipment of Russian origin (TORP). This was announced on August 17, 2021 by the Ministry of Informatization and Communications of the Udmurt Republic. This gives IRZ the advantage of entering state programs, where one of the conditions is the use of domestic equipment. For example, participation in a program to eliminate digital inequality in rural settlements, which is being implemented under the presidential national project "Digital Economy of Russia."
The fact that the RADIUS oDAS meets the criteria necessary for obtaining the status of TORP was confirmed by the interdepartmental expert council:
- production is localized in the territory of the Russian Federation, including the full production cycle of printed circuit boards and finishing assembly;
- IRZ owns rights to design documentation and software;
- the plant has a scientific and production base for organizing the production, warranty and post-warranty services of the produced television production.
The oDAS RADIUS system allows mobile operators to communications increase the coverage area of 3G base stations LTE by GSM a distance of up to 60 km. At the same time, the capital and operating costs of creating and maintaining a cellular infrastructure are significantly reduced.
Providing the population of the region with mobile communications is the most important task, for which a lot of resources are allocated. In Udmurtia, several programs are being implemented in this direction: the Selsoviet project, the federal program to eliminate digital inequality, the NaaS project and the operators' own investment plans. Our goal is to achieve communication indicators in the 2G standard by 2024 - 99.5% and 97% for 3G/4G. This means that in three years about 70 thousand residents will have to provide communications, "said Timur Mejitov, Minister of Information and Communications of the Udmurt Republic. |
Composition and principle of operation
For August, 2021 oDAS RADIUS sostit from:
- FSC unit is designed for conversion of several carrier frequencies LTE, UMTS or GSM (GSM-R) received from base station (BS) into internal signals of RADIUS system
- FSR unit is designed to receive and reverse convert carrier frequencies using a radio link or fiber optic channel into cellular communication signals, providing creation of sectors similar to BS
- Relay Channel Module (RM) provides built-in radio link operation
- service channel module (SM) provides additional sectors at the remote site where the FSR unit is installed
