2021: Connection to MUSE Cardiac Information System

On August 20, 2021, MEDSI announced that in order to optimize remote examination and provide modern medical care, the MUSE cardiological information system was introduced in MEDSI clinics. The program ensures the smooth transmission of data to doctors, allows you to quickly decide on the further treatment of the patient, helps to avoid expensive errors in diagnosis and automates the workflow for the proper quality of customer service.

According to the company, the MUSE expert level system has been introduced into the work of only three medical institutions. MEDSI Group is the first among private centers using this software, and the first on the market in terms of the number and geography of assets connected to the system, the number of studies conducted. As of August 2021, more than 20 MEDSI clinics in Moscow, the Moscow Region and in the regions are connected to MUSE. Investments of MEDSI Group of Companies in the implementation of the project over three years amounted to 32 million rubles. By the end of 2021, it is planned to fully update electrocardiographs for devices of the expert level MAC 2000 GE and connect all clinics of the company to the MUSE system.

The pandemic gave a powerful impetus to the rapid digitalization of medicine, the development of artificial intelligence and digital medical services. And this opens up great prospects for medical organizations throughout the patient's path - from diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation. In 2021, the anniversary for the MEDSI company, these trends received an even larger development. The MUSE system is implemented on the basis of the direction of functional diagnostics of the MEDSI reference center, which allows for a centralized remote description of radiological and instrumental studies using telemedicine technologies, with expert support from MEDSI doctors. Thanks to MUSE technology, ECG is completely digitized, allowing to minimize "paper" work, optimize the speed of data processing, store and compare patient ECG results over different periods to assess dynamics, quickly and qualitatively describe electrocardiograms for remote branches, for example, in regions. This helps optimize the efficiency of the clinic, optimize personnel and technical resources, and reduce costs.

The MUSE system is a tool for centralizing and optimizing internal quality control of the diagnostic service of a medical organization. For example, the internal audit and security function in MUSE allows you to keep a record of all the ECGs carried out in clinics (the work of intermediate and medical personnel, monitoring the operation of any device connected to the system, including calculating its load). Using the accessibility of the MUSE platform, you can even track the quality of the application of electrodes by the type of "traffic light," where red means low quality of ECG recording, yellow - acceptable, green - excellent. At the same time, all comments are reflected in the report to each ECG, including information from the specialist who conducted the examination and wrote the conclusion. Based on this, a decision is made to conduct additional training of personnel.
