2021: C2 Transfer View

On August 25, 2021, Synology announced the release of C2 Transfer, a cloud-based solution for secure file transfer between companies and their customers, partners, and other third parties.

Local Synology storage solutions already help companies and home users meet data management challenges, such as connecting remote commands and enabling file sharing and collaboration between users. C2 Transfer can solve the most complex problem - the problem of transferring important and potentially confidential files to customers.

Most file collaboration solutions, both cloud and local, protect data by managing permissions and checking the activity of individual accounts. However, you still have to send documents to external parties that do not have accounts.

C2 Transfer offers a simple solution for both parties, while ensuring that files are delivered to the right users, even if the link is accidentally published or sent to the wrong user. C2 Transfer confirms the identity of the user by sending a one-time password (OTP) to the email address or phone number specified by the sender to provide access to the files to the desired users.

C2 Transfer ensures data privacy with end-to-end encryption, which makes files unreadable from the moment they are downloaded by the client until they are safely downloaded by the recipient to the device.

C2 Transfer makes it easy to send files to third-party partners and customers, especially when it comes to HR, Legal, Manufacturing, Finance, and Marketing. C2 Transfer, with built-in support for watermark images, download expiration dates, one-time downloads, and file requests, provides secure file retrieval.

From August 25, 2021, the C2 Transfer solution is available by subscription to the Pro plan, which offers separate accounts for small groups and freelancers. Centrally managed plans for large companies will be available soon.
