2021: Announcement of cameras that simultaneously record information about traffic violations and missing people
In Russia, cameras have been created that simultaneously record information about traffic violations and missing people. The equipment was developed by Roselectronica, which announced the product at the end of August 2021.
The new photo and video recording cameras were called "Comet-21." They are designed for an intelligent transport system for controlling the intensity and speed of the flow of cars, fixing traffic violations, monitoring the work of utilities, as well as operational-search measures.
As Konstantin Solodukhin, deputy general director for business development at Roselektroniki, told Kommersant, the complex can transmit data to a single video surveillance system for traffic, as well as integrate with search bases and notify adjacent systems about the discovery of a wanted car. In addition, Comet 21 can be integrated into the Safe City and Smart City systems. If necessary, the device can be supplemented with a facial recognition system to search for missing people. Comet-21 receives time data for the production of calculations from the GLONASS system, continuously synchronizing internal systems with the national time scale.
In the case of road traffic, the camera allows you to obtain data on the speed, location and path of the car, recognize the brand, model and color of the vehicle, as well as record and take into account cars with unreadable or missing numbers.
One camera costs about 1 million rubles, the complex includes the video recording device itself and special software. To control a site with a length of at least 300 meters, two or more complexes are needed. However, the number of devices depends on the requirements of future customers.[1]
