2021: Pilot project for installation of sensors on containers for determination of occupancy by municipal solid waste

Element Group on September 6, 2021 announced that it had entered into an agreement on cooperation in the field of environmental conservation with the Russian environmental operator.

The agreement is aimed at improving the effectiveness of the parties in the field of environmental protection, improving the environmental situation in the Russian Federation.

The main areas of cooperation between the parties are information cooperation on the implementation of an automatic control system for the filling and emptying of containers for the collection of municipal solid waste, as well as monitoring the state of garbage containers at MSW collection points. So, in accordance with the agreement, a joint pilot project on the installation of sensors on containers for determining the occupancy of municipal solid waste was launched in Moscow.

The strategy of the Element Group of Companies is aimed, inter alia, at developing technological solutions in the field of ecology in accordance with the course of the Government of the Russian Federation to improve the environmental situation in the country and reduce harmful emissions. " Within the framework of the national project "Ecology," the Government of the Russian Federation provides for the creation of a stable system for the management of municipal solid waste, which ensures the sorting of garbage in the amount of 100% and the reduction of the volume of waste sent to landfills by half. Our technical solution is aimed at creating an accounting and control system that solves these problems, "said Ilya Ivantsov, president of Element Group of Companies.

We have mathematical calculations of the formation of MSW for the number of people in a particular territory. The information obtained from the sensors, we will use in addition to the available data. It will allow us to analyze the situation in terms of the work of the regional waste removal operator, we will be able to understand how full the tank is. This project of REO and Element Group of Companies will help us receive additional information on the collection of tanks, "commented Denis Butsaev, General Director of the REO PPK.

The installation of sensors on garbage bins will be carried out by the Element GC, the devices allow you to measure the volume of filling of the container and its turning. Technical specialists of the parties integrate their resources so that information from sensors is transmitted to the electronic model of the federal scheme. The obtained data will become additional information for verification of mathematical calculations of REW on the collection of containers for MSW.
