2021: Implementation of biometric access control VisionLabs

On September 8, 2021, the company VisionLabs announced that it had implemented biometric access control at the head office of MTS Bank in Moscow. The solution provides a contactless way to pass through the turnstile "on the face." Employees just need to look into the camera - the recognition process takes a fraction of a second.

The headquarters of MTS Bank is located on nine floors of Nagatino i-Land. About 4,000 people visit the building every day, taking into account guests. The bank had the task of integrating a digital solution to prevent unauthorized passage.

The VisionLabs access control system implemented is more user-friendly - employees no longer need to constantly carry a physical pass with them. Unlike standard access cards, a biometric identifier cannot be lost or transferred to third parties. In addition, VisionLabs technologies are resistant to external factors and do not lose recognition accuracy when there are glasses, beards, medical masks and headgear.

The solution uses VisionLabs-designed liveness algorithms that protect you from passing through photos or videos from mobile screens.
