2021: Putin instructed to organize the sale of drugs in the branches of the Russian Post

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Government of the Russian Federation to organize the sale of medicines in the branches of the Russian Post. The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin and the General Director of the Russian Post Maxim Akimov will have to do this until November 1, 2021.

Vladimir Putin instructed to organize the sale of drugs in the branches of the Russian Post

Earlier in 2021, Russian Post received permission from Roszdravnadzor for remote retail drug trade. Thanks to this, the Post was able not only to sell drugs on the market.pochta.ru website, but also to deliver drugs by couriers with payment upon receipt and provide drug delivery services to pharmaceutical marketplaces and online pharmacies.

Russian Post will deliver only over-the-counter drugs. To deliver thermolabile drugs, Mail couriers will have thermal containers with cold elements and loggers that will record compliance with storage conditions and the necessary temperature regime.

To create a logistics chain for the delivery of medicines in Russia with compliance with the temperature regime, the Post will modernize the logistics center in Vnukovo: a special zone will appear in the terminal with refrigeration units for storing and terminal processing pharmaceuticals. Also, to comply with all requirements, the company expands staff and hires pharmacists.

Earlier in some regions of the Russian Federation, postmen began collecting medical data for early and simplest diagnostics - for example, they conduct surveys to identify cancer, help measure blood pressure, inform doctors about citizens at risk, and provide access to telemedicine consultations.[1]
