2021: Developing a Payment Software Solution

Softline Ecommerce and ECOMPAY jointly developed a payment software solution for Softline, which made it possible to optimize work in European markets, as well as localize payment scenarios in different regions and for different audiences. Softline announced this on September 21, 2021.

The software solution provides seamless transition to the 3D Secure 2.0 payment protocol adopted in Europe, simplified user interaction, accurate configuration of security filters, improved customization of payment forms in different languages and increased conversion by subscriptions.

European legislation has recently streamlined the collection and storage of personal user data. It is regulated by the updated security protocol 3DS2. A big advantage of using 3DS 2.0 is that by collecting additional parameters, a transaction can go along the so-called "frictionless flow" ("unhindered flow"), when the end user does not need to enter additional data on the page of his bank, which increases the number of successful transactions and, as a result, conversion.

The ECOMPAY team has developed a special software solution for the easy and seamless transition of payment functionality between two versions of security protocols - Proxy 3DS. This is a service that works without unnecessary user redirection. At the same time, requests in 3DS2 format are processed on the Proxy 3DS service and do not require additional modifications on the Softline Ecommerce side.

With 3DS2 authentication, payer identity is confirmed not only with the standard entry of a four-digit code, but also by collecting the technical parameters of its actions. ECOMPAY has been able to understand the importance of collecting technical parameters when making payments so that banks approve transactions without additional actions by the cardholder.

In addition, ECOMPAY conducted a qualitative analysis of Softline needs, which made it possible to fine-tune the antifrode system for each project separately and achieve the optimal balance between safety and conversion. Quite a lot of transaction failures are associated with the coincidence of user names in all kinds of antifrode lists of payment systems and banks. Flexible filter setup has dramatically increased the success of payments, for example, in Turkey.

{{quote 'We always work with multiple providers in different territories. For us, the priority is the patency of payments. If payments for some reason go, in our opinion, not efficiently enough through one provider, we switch them to another. For example, before contacting ECOMPAY Softline Ecommerce, they worked with several providers in Europe.

We always track the latest trends in the development of international business and are ready for dialogue with various potential partners that will help strengthen our position in the region, "said Anton Mezentsev, business development manager at Softline Ecommerce far abroad.}}

{{quote 'Our collaboration began with work in Asian markets. Having earned the trust of Softline Ecommerce, we helped the company to enter Europe and gain a foothold. Our collaboration is an example of how a company can expand its activities in several regions with one provider and one integration .

In general, the EU is becoming more attractive to online business. This is one of the fastest growing e-commerce markets, which is also in 3rd place in the world in terms of online payments. This is a market in which payment technologies are rapidly developing, allowing Russian companies to scale more easily in this region, "said Vladislav Svetlov, business development manager for the international payment provider and acquirer of ECOMPAY.}}
