September 23, 2021 Konica Minolta Business Solutions Russia reported that the specialists Russian of the mission Konica Minolta launched in the Volga region on a production Link Press Center Kazan sheet jet machine JETvarnish 3DS with a foil embossing module iFoil S, designed to ennoble printed materials. This equipment is produced the French by a company, MGI a significant share of which belongs to Konica Minolta.

The Link Press Center began operations in 2009 as a small copy center using several computers, a camera, as well as a small photo printer and a copy. For 12 years, it has become a large printing company by regional standards, the structure of which as of September 2021 includes the city's largest copying salon, a full-fledged printing house with offset and digital equipment, as well as a center for preparing design and technical documentation.

The first multifunctional and powerful technique of the Link Printing Center was laser MFP the A3 format of Konica Minolta, acquired in 2013. Then the center used digital printing machines data from another manufacturer, but in 2018 it returned to Konica Minolta, installing the then flagship sheet CPM AccurioPress S6085. Quite quickly, it became the basis of the printing fleet of the printing house. Further, her leadership decided to purchase a second such machine, and subsequently two more, a monochrome bizhub Pro 1100 and a full-color Konica Minolta AccurioPrint C3070L, in a copy salon. Thus, the company completely switched to the equipment of this Japanese manufacturer, allowing to produce printed products quickly, with high quality and at a competitive price.

The latest acquisition of the Link Printing Center - the MGI JETvarnish 3DS & iFoil S inkjet machine - will also add high-quality finishes to this.

"The equipment has been purchased to expand our range of services. We hope to attract with its help both end customers and advertising agencies and other printing houses interested in producing printed materials with a WOW effect, which is achieved by selective and textural lacquering, as well as embossing with foil, "

Previously, the company had already offered customers a similar service, but it was carried out using suboptimal technologies that took a lot of time and effort, and could also lead to marriage and a large amount of waste. The MGI machine, using a direct inkjet method of applying varnish and digital embossing with foil, will make the ennobling process much faster, more convenient and effective.

"For 11 years we worked as a digital printing house, but after buying the local printing house" Watercolor, "we added to our portfolio and small-format offset printing. The MGI machine allows us to work equally efficiently with both digital and offset prints, so that we will actively use its capabilities not only in the production of advertising and publishing products, but also cardboard packaging, which I consider a promising direction, "-

continues Artem Kozlov.

The JETvarnish 3DS & iFoil S jet machine allows you to perform selective lacquering, including with the creation of 3D effects, as well as folding in one pass. The materials used in it work equally efficiently with both offset prints and products printed on digital machines that use jet or electrophotographic technology with dry or liquid toner. For the exact combination of varnish and foil with the printed image, the intelligent system - AIS scanner is responsible. The system analyzes each sheet and determines distortions from selected areas of the image, "on the fly" modifying the mask file responsible for the position of the varnish on the printed sheet.

The format of the JETvarnish 3DS & iFoil S sheet is 364x1020 mm, the density is from 135 to 450 g/m2. Operation speed - up to 2077 A3/h. The thickness of the lacquer layer is from 21 to 232 microns.
