In July, 2010 the AND Project company entering into Sistematika group, and one of the largest Russian producers of drinks, Leader company announce project completion on creation of schedule system and optimization of production based on ORTEMS.


Leader company - one of the largest Russian producers of drinks. The enterprise issues more than 200 names of different products: juice and nectars, low alcohol youth cocktails, mineral drinking water, more than 20 names of fruit carbonated drinks, the natural vitaminized fruit and vegetable nectars, berry fruit drinks, energy drinks. "Leader" makes products under own brand and also Private label for the largest retail networks: Auchan, Metro, "OK", Tape and others.


"In the conditions of the growing demand for our products became obvious that production is "bottleneck". The existing schedule system could not satisfy more the need for shipment and provide the further growth of the company. We needed the flexible tool for the organization of more rhythmical production quickly to react to the fluctuations in demand", - Klinetsky Evgeny Fedorovich, the CEO of Leader company comments.


As a result the company management made the decision to create at the enterprise a centralized system of planning and optimization of production based on the ORTEMS APS system. As the consultant and the partner in implementation the AND Project company was invited.


The basis for start of production in a new system are the needs for shipment of finished goods. Such approach allows to react quickly to the shifts in demand on drinks during a season, to minimize production on a warehouse and to increase the volume of the finished goods shipped in time due to increase in loading of the equipment by optimization of technology transitions.


The Leader company makes a wide range of products from more than 200 names on 7 production lines. Therefore at production planning of a large number of various drinks it is necessary to consider such specific parameters as: time of start and dotalkivaniye, reformats (change of a format of bottles) and wash of the equipment, difference in blends and others.


Production restrictions, criteria of optimization and time spent for technology transitions automatically are considered in a system. They define distribution of batches of pouring by priority lines. The production schedule is adjusted daily on the basis of unique criteria of optimization for each of lines. The scheduler analyzes the created plan and executes in need of adjustment. Number of the production order automatically is assigned to each subject to planning created in ORTEMS. Results of planning are available in the form of a replaceable task which forms works of people, in paper form for the organization, in workshop. Online it is possible to trace locations of batches of pouring in production on production lines, order placement priorities on lines, and planned dates of an exit of batches from production.


Within an implementation project of ORTEMS bilateral integration with the information system existing into the companies was performed. Data on the needs for shipment which are used for formation of the balanced production program come from it. All normative reference information necessary for the description of technology process and its restrictions contains in ORTEMS. Due to optimization of technology transitions on filling lines loading of the equipment increases. So, for example, when planning pouring of drinks for which one blend is used the concept of a product family is provided in ORTEMS. For them the sizes of batches, taking into account start of all family entirely treat. When planning pouring of these drinks is built consistently, without reformats and washes of the equipment.


With the system of ORTEMS management of the company will be able quickly to rebuild the sequences of release of batches at change of demand pattern during a season, to increase turnover, to reduce the volume of busy warehouse spaces and to save the high level of shipments in time.
