Multi-level planning of resources both in medium-term, and in the short term

"That when and in what sequence to do" - the answer to this question provides ORTEMS taking into account the available market, technology, social conditions at any moment. Accumulating information on technology transactions and the equipment, routes, specifications of products and having data of forecasts and unconfirmed orders, a system allows to make the flexible, realistic volume schedule for the medium term which balances loading of capacities of all production. At short-term planning a system builds shop production schedules, in view of the available restrictions (such as availability of raw materials, personnel, availability of the equipment, communication between work centers) and "conciliating" the interests clashing among themselves (shipment to the client, performance improvement of the equipment, decrease in warehouse stocks in time).

Full-scale synchronization – both all supply chain, and separate items of equipment

When scheduling a system uses a method evristik: from a set of versions of the production plan it is selected optimal, synchronizing actions of all participants of a supply chain, from sale and department of planning and before production and group of logistics. Synchronization of work of workshops with an order portfolio allows to reduce work in progress volume, accounting of requirements of the production schedule when purchasing raw materials leads to decrease in volumes of safety stocks, and the optimized creation of a priority of start of machines gives reduction of a downtime of the equipment at the exit.

Interactivity of modeling

A system allows to model plans with different criteria of optimization (such rules there are more than 60), to analyze key performance indicators and to compare as far as plans answer effective objectives. In case of manual adjustment of the schedule (for example, at transfer of transactions from the machine) ORTEMS will check competency of such actions for the machine and will show how the made changes influence all plan. In read minutes the user will be able precisely to estimate effect of emergence of the new urgent order, a delay by supply of raw materials, absence from work of the operator of the line or transition from two-shift to the three-shift diagram.

Detailed reflection of a supply chain in real time

The central element of the system interface, the chart Ganta, allows to reflect all transactions executed by the specific order, to trace as run phases of a task of specific machines what available capacities are involved in work on the order what works are performed on this product are distributed. Demonstration of results of planning in different cuts – one more opportunity supplementing the rich analytical ORTEMS tools.
