2023: Admission to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

The Juncker-DG-250 cargo parachute system began to be delivered to Russian troops after successful state tests were carried out. This was reported on November 10, 2023 in the state corporation "Rostec."

The system allows you to land cargo in a fully automatic mode with increased accuracy. Juncker is capable of landing cargo with a total weight of up to 250 kilograms from aircraft moving at speeds of up to 350 km/h at an altitude of up to 8 kilometers. Landing is carried out to a predetermined point using a guided parachute wing.

Manual control of the Junker using the remote control is also possible. On the command "Follow me," the cargo parachute system plans for the paratrooper. Several cargoes by parachute can fly after each other, forming a caravan.

As the agency was told in Rostec, TASS the landing accuracy with a stable reception GLONASS in standard meteorological conditions is 100 meters.

In addition, it is reported that Rostec received a patent for universal parachute cargo piping, with the help of which, if necessary, the payload of any parachute system can be increased to 500 kg.

The Junker series of parachute systems is being developed by the Ivanovo Flight Parachute Plant. On the basis of the Juncker parachute, the Juncker-PPSS (Dog Suspended Parachute System) system was developed. It allows you to land a service dog weighing up to 45 kg from a height of up to 4 km with a dog handler. In addition, the Russian paratroopers received the Juncker-O system, which allows them to land in full combat display with an additional 50 kg of cargo.[1]

2021: Creation of a cargo parachute with GLONASS and landing accuracy up to 100 m

At the end of September 2021, it became known about the creation in Russia of a cargo parachute using a navigation system for accurate landing. We are talking about the development of the holding "Technodinamika," which is part of "Rostec."

The Junker-DG-250 transport parachute system is equipped with an automated control system that allows you to land cargo weighing up to 250 kg in fully automatic mode and land them with increased accuracy.

The complex consists of a landing platform, a parachute with a controlled dome of the "wing" type, as well as equipment for automatic flight and guidance. The system is oriented by GLONASS or GPS coordinates, can be controlled from the ground or descend in "slave" mode. In this case, the cargo follows the "lead" paratrooper.

Russia has developed a cargo parachute with GLONASS and landing accuracy up to 100 m

With an increase in the number of emergencies, the emergence of local armed conflicts, when it is necessary to deliver weapons, special equipment, food, medicines, rescue equipment to hard-to-reach places, the issue of high-precision delivery of goods to a given area or to a site limited by small size becomes acute. These tasks are solved by the use of parachute systems for the delivery of cargo by air for high-precision landing.

The Juncker-DG-250 automation makes it possible to create even aerial "caravans." That is, when parachute systems with cargo can fly one after another.

During factory tests of the system, the cargo was dropped from a height of 4 thousand meters, in this case the landing accuracy did not exceed 100 meters. "This allows you to reduce the time of deployment of goods and plan their delivery at a qualitatively new level. The capabilities of the parachute allow the landing of various weapons, equipment and ammunition. The development can significantly increase the capabilities of airborne troops, as well as special operations forces, Rostec said[2]
