2021: Dangerous schoolchildren will be calculated from essays using AI
Students with a tendency to socially dangerous and destructive behavior will begin to be identified by analyzing their written works. This became known on September 23, 2021. To create software for such an analysis, the budget of the national project "Education" provides for 1.7 billion rubles, follows from the explanatory note to the draft federal budget for 2022 and for the planned period of 2023-2024.
The draft budget was approved by the government on September 21, its submission to the State Duma is planned until October 1, 2021. The costs of creating software are included in the federal project "Social Activity." In 2022-2023. for the development of technology for the analysis of written works of students it is planned to allocate 551.1 million rubles. annually, in 2024 - 555.7 million rubles.
The press service of the Ministry of Education, responsible for the implementation of the national project "Education," forwarded questions about the program product to Rosmolodezha. The press service of the latter did not provide comments. The press service of the government did not respond to a request from the source about the details of the creation of software and plans for the timing of its implementation in Russian educational institutions.
The impetus for creating a project to develop such software was the increasing incidence of violence in educational institutions, said Oleg Smolin, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science in the State Duma of the VII convocation. On September 20, 2021, an 18-year-old young man made an armed attack on Perm State University, killing eight people and injuring many. On May 11, 2021, in Kazan gymnasium No. 175, one of the schoolchildren attacked students and teachers, seven children and two teachers became his victims.
Certain patterns of thinking really manifest themselves in oral and written speech, and algorithms can allow us to identify those that are alarming. However, it is not clear how the result of this development will be used, "Zaitsev noted that the analysis will have an effect only if we are talking about texts on a free, and not on a given topic. - According to this principle, linguists-psychologists work, who conduct a forensic examination. To identify the psychological features and inclinations of a person, they collect a large array of his letters, posts in social networks, and literary works. |
You can identify changes in human behavior when analyzing big data, for example, works over several years, "explained Igor Ashmanov, president of Kribrum. - It is likely that the program created at the expense of the budget will produce a random result, which will be interpreted by the teacher or school psychologist. Technical tools for determining stress levels and the presence of tendencies do exist, but they are used to analyze large groups of people, and not a particular person. |
Ashmanov doubts that there is a point in creating such software, and the project estimate of 1.7 billion rubles stated in the explanatory note. Calls overestimated 2-3 times.
Such a selection may have unpredictable consequences, "added Dmitry Lesnyak, lawyer at BMS Law Firm. - The teacher will begin to look at the child obliquely, tell about it to the children around him. Parents can start looking after the child, or they can start moving away. In addition, a student can be transferred to a special group or registered in a mental health center. |
If the software development is completed successfully, changes to the current legislation will be required and only after that the software product can be used, said Dmitry Uvarov, a member of the Russian Bar Association. He found it difficult to answer the question of what kind of changes would be required.
To study the work of students and any subsequent actions, at least the consent of the tested person or his legal representative will be required, "said the child psychiatrist Zaitsev[1]. |
