Career

2012-2015

In 2012, Yuri Misnik joined the Amazon Web Services team to implement Amazon Cloud (AWS) services in the UK and Europe.

From 2015 to 2019, he served as Managing Director of Information Technology at HSBC and then became Director of Information Technology at the National Bank of Australia. He also worked at Microsoft.

2019

At the end of 2019, Yuri Misnik took the position of Chief Technology Officer of the group at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and began to be responsible for developing the group's technology strategy, ensuring that FAB is prepared for the transition to the next generation of digital banking services.

2021: Digital Director at Magnit

On October 4, 2021, it was announced that Yuri Misnik was appointed Director of Digital Technologies at Magnit. In this position, he will be responsible for:

• implementation of the retailer's digital transformation strategy;
• developing a portfolio of digital products;
• modernizing the company's operations through the introduction of modern technologies and innovations, the development of IT infrastructure, the use of advanced analytics and the optimization of business processes.

Yuri Misnik will directly report to Magnit President and CEO Ian Dunning. Before joining Magnit, Misnik worked at First Abu Dhabi Bank as a technical director.

Yuri Misnik worked as director of digital technologies at Magnit until mid-2025. After his departure, this position was taken by Vyacheslav Kubaev.

2025: CTO в inDrive

After leaving Magnit, Yuri Misnik did not appear in open media publications for some time. However, later in the Kazakh press, he began to periodically appear in the new position of CTO (technical director) of the international taxi service inDrive. Having been founded in Russia, in Yakutia, in 2013, this service was later registered in the United States, and it grew into a global company with offices and large centers in Mexico, Cyprus and Kazakhstan. In 2023, inDrive transferred its Russian legal entity to the ownership of the Kazakh structure.

In an interview with Kazakh media^[1] in January 2026, Yuri Misnik said that the inDrive technical team, which he heads, ensures the operation of the technology platform and the service data platform - from city and long-distance trips to delivery and other SuperApp verticals. The service operates in 48 countries and more than 1 thousand cities, which imposes high requirements for scalability, sustainability and adaptation of the platform to the characteristics of different markets. This is provided by more than 70 teams, where 800 engineers, developers, data specialists, AI and infrastructure work.

My main area of ​ ​ responsibility is systemic leadership. I form a vision and directions of development: a technological strategy, architectural principles, performance metrics, an approach to organizing engineering work, - explains Yuri Misnik. - My main tasks are to level goals, remove obstacles, strengthen a culture of responsibility and decision-making.

At the same time, the UAE is indicated as the location of Yuri Misnik.
