On October 4, 2021, Roman Maresov was appointed CEO of Yandex.Eda. As Roman Maresov told Vedomosti in the press service of the company, as the head of the Yandex.Food project, he will focus on developing a product for restaurants and partner stores and further improving the experience of couriers collaborating with the platform.

The structure of the Yandex food-tech business will not change. Yandex.Food and Shop will continue to develop as independent destinations, but in close connection with each other and Yandex.Market, the company notes .

At the end of August 2021, it became known that Yandex intends to fully redeem Uber's share in the services of Yandex.Eda, Yandex.Lavka, Yandex.Delivery. The transaction amount will be $1 billion.

It is noted that under the leadership of Masyuk, Yandex.Eda, in particular, doubled the number of partner restaurants, launched the delivery of products from stores and markets, expanded the geography of work to more than 170 cities and opened in Belarus, the report said.

The company emphasized that at the end of 2020, Yandex was for the first time among the leaders of the e-grocery market. The total sales of FMCG (mass demand products) in Yandex.Market, Yandex.Shop and Yandex.Delivery reached 24 billion rubles. In the second quarter of 2021, FMCG accounted for 39% of Yandex.Market's total turnover[1]
