Tiggy is a Canadian express delivery service (declared 15-minute period) for food, household items, pharmaceutical products and animal goods. The company was founded by Yevgeny Bisovka and Razmik Sukyasov, later co-founder of the KupiVip and co-founder of the project Oscar Hartmann joined them. The authors of the project are confident that Canada can offer better conditions for the company. The creators of Tiggy say that the service is distinguished by low prices and "outstanding customer support."
History
2021: Raising $6.1 million
In early October 2021, Tiggy announced the start of work and attract investments in the amount of $6.1 million. The funding round conducted through the Heartland Fund was led by ASOS majority shareholder, Denmark's richest billionaire Anders Holh Povlsen. Other startup investors include entrepreneur Oscar Hartmann, who also became the co-founder of the project, and venture funds.
The funds raised at Tiggy are going to be spent on full coverage of Vancouver and exit to Toronto. By 2023, the founders of Tiggy intend to launch 350 darkstores in Canada. The first darkstore of the company earned in downtown Vancouver.
The startup noted that by October 2021, demand for delivery in Canada is growing - after the coronavirus pandemic COVID-19 , two-thirds of residents are more likely to cook themselves, and 75% order products for home. However, unlike Russia other countries, the express delivery niche is still free here, according to Tiggy.
The company plans to fully focus on the Canadian market, scaling the project in several stages. In the next six months, the company plans to invest, during which it expects to raise $15-20 million.
In August 2021, Oscar Hartmann and partners launched a product delivery service in Japan in 10 minutes. OniGo[1][2]
