2014: Upgrading the asset management solution

Project Objectives

  • consolidation in a unified system of information on real estate of the parent company and its subsidiaries;
  • Implementation of information and analytical support for management decisions.

Situation

Prior to the creation of an automated asset management system, it was difficult for the corporation to comprehensively assess the composition of the property. Heterogeneous reports were created and stored separately from each other, they offered a static picture of individual objects, regions, real estate transactions. This made management decisions very difficult. In 2001, the management of the corporation set the task of combining in a single system information about the real estate of the parent company and its subsidiaries (DO).

Decision

The property management system was established in the form of geographically distributed databases integrated with the central system. In addition to the real estate management unit, subsystems of long-term financial investments and the management of non-core and inefficient assets have been developed.

The introduction in subsidiaries was carried out in the form of the supply of software and hardware complexes. The system was implemented and accompanied by ICL Soft specialists in the parent company and 72 subsidiaries. In industrial operation from 2005 to 2014 inclusive. The system included the analytical subsystem "Consolidated Register of Corporate Property," designed for senior and middle management.

In 2014, a modernized property management system was put into operation. ICL Soft is:

  • co-executor of development of Functional requirements for system modernization with development of functionality and transfer to SAP platform;
  • co-executor of the development of the upgraded system on the SAP platform at all phases of the project;
  • Executor of data migration from historical to upgraded system.

Results

  • The upgraded property management system has a wide range of functionality required to perform corporate-level tasks, is integrated with many related information systems in the parent company and DOs. The number of users is about a thousand.
