On November 29, 2022, OBIT announced that it had taken part in the preparation of the Flagstock public space near the Gazprom-Arena stadium for the winter season. Visitors to the skating rink, open on the territory of the complex, can use Wi-Fi Internet access at speeds up to 100 Mbps.

The Flagpole skating rink is two spacious sites on the shores of the Gulf of Finland overlooking the Lakhta Center, connected by ice tracks. The total area of ​ ​ the ice cover is 2,800 m2. As of November 2022, it is one of the three largest skating rinks in St. Petersburg.

The Wi-Fi network, organized by OBIT specialists, covers not only the territory of the ice field, but also a significant space around it with an area of ​ ​ 6,000 m2. Thus, all visitors will be able to share on the network emotions from visiting the site both right on the ice and in the pavilions nearby. High connection speed allows you to quickly exchange media, post videos on social networks and make video calls.

The industrial level network for November 2022 includes 12 access points of the latest generation of Wi-Fi-6 and provides a stable signal while connecting up to 400 users. At the same time, the technology of seamless switching between points does not limit the movement of visitors to the rink, maintaining the continuity of Internet communication even for the most active guests, which is especially important taking into account the main purpose of the site - active family recreation and sports activities.

2021: Creation of a communication system for a complex of structures with a flagpole

On October 14, 2021, OBIT, a St. Petersburg integrator, announced that it had completed a project to create a communication system for a complex of structures built as part of one of the projects of the Gazprom Arena development program.

The project includes the "Water Sports Center," designed for windsurfing and kitesurfing, the flagpole itself and the operation service, which is located in the Center building. A flagpole 105 m high has already been installed on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, in the western part of Krestovsky Island.

Since the "Water Sports Center" is intended mainly for children and adolescents, the creation of a communication network that will allow emergency measures to be taken if necessary was one of the priority tasks of the developer company.

OBIT designed and built a telephone sewage route through the complex with a total area of ​ ​ 24,180 m2. Then the installation of the fiber-optical communication line was carried out, which provided the "Center" with high channel capacity and transmission stability. data In addition, a technological platform was created for based on telephone communication - IP technology, (), televisions IPTV as well as standard routine maintenance work necessary for commissioning the facility (signals of civil defense and emergency situations, radiification, signal AXION from the communication center).
