2021: Introduction of Russian drones and fire fighting equipment
On October 15, 2021, RT-Project Technologies of Rostec and the National Oil Corporation of Venezuela PDVSA signed memorandums aimed at ensuring industrial safety at critical oil infrastructure facilities in the Bolivarian Republic. This was announced on October 15, 2021 by Rostec.

Within the framework of the memoranda signed by the parties, it is planned to introduce Russian unmanned aircraft for monitoring oil pipelines and detecting oil spills, the supply of fire-fighting foams for extinguishing hydrocarbon fires and protective suits for fire brigades. It also provides for the possibility of organizing licensed production of fire extinguishing equipment in Venezuela.
A delegation of PDVSA industrial safety specialists visited Moscow to agree on the terms of the contracts and conduct additional tests. Partners were given the opportunity to evaluate Russian developments in "combat" conditions.
