The Ukrainian company "Roshen South" refused use of self-written ERP on the Oracle platform for benefit of a system from 1C: old was software too difficult and expensive in operation. Similar process on transition to the platform of 1C goes also in other divisions of Roshen concern, a system should become the corporate standard of group.

The Odessa company "Roshen South" which is a part of large-scale confectionary concern Roshen implemented a new ERP system "1C: Trade Management for Ukraine 8". As the deputy director general on logistics of the company Leonid Gordeev told TAdviser, before start of the project of Roshen South used the self-written accounting system on the Oracle platform.

However, by the beginning of 2010 an old ERP system of Roshen South "ceased to satisfy to requirements of the enterprise", said in the official statement of the company as it was "difficult in operation and excessively expensive in service" and also required "considerable time expenditure on input of primary information". The task consisted in implementing the complete solution which would automate not only trade processes of the enterprise but also controlled settlings with partners, would include functionality of CRM, a warehouse system and some other functions.

According to Leonid Gordeev, simultaneous process on transition to new ERP is conducted also by other enterprises of holding, now similar projects are in a different completion stage. A number of "subsidiaries" of Roshen holding also used earlier a self-written accounting system on Oracle, a part of the companies worked for 1C of earlier versions.

As a result of reorganization of corporate IT infrastructure "eight" from 1C will become the corporate standard for all group, and the consolidated statements from all enterprises will come to head office of group in Kiev. The head office, in particular, was also engaged in the choice of the new ERP platform. Representatives of the headquarters of Roshen on a request by what criteria there was a selection and what further plans for the project, did not answer.

At the same time the initiative of Roshen of cost optimization on IT and unification of accounting in all group is clear: business of holding actively develops and control over it requires transparency of all processes. Now Roshen has four factories in Ukraine, own logistic center and also on one factory in Russia and Lithuania. Power of production of confectionery corporation in 2009 was 380 thousand tons from which nearly a third was exported. Only in the first quarter 2010 of Roshen sold the products for the amount about $220 million that is 43% more than similar indicators of the first quarter 2009.

As a result of the implementation in Roshen South executed by 1C: Accounting and Trade company (BIT), a new ERP system covered 22 jobs, were automated cash management, purchases, sales, costs and an inventory control and also a CRM system is created.

Automation of an inventory control allowed to control the movement of goods on warehouses of Roshen South in Odessa, Belgorodnestrovsk that by 3 times accelerated delivery of goods to customers, representatives of the company note. "As a result of implementation we could control better work with clients and achieved increase in sales volume twice", - the chief accountant of the company Svetlana Terevnikova commented on economic effect of implementation. Investments into the project do not reveal.
