History
2024: Nationalization of a factory in Lipetsk during the conflict in Ukraine
Main article: Roshen Russia
In February 2024, during the conflict in Ukraine, a court in Lipetsk nationalized the Roshen confectionery factory of ex-President of Ukraine Poroshenko.
2010: Thousands of employees
In 2010, ROSHEN produced more than 200 types of candy, chocolate, caramel, cookies, waffles, marmalade and cakes. The corporation worked with 60 distributors in Ukraine and 120 in the CIS countries. ROSHEN products are successfully sold in Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, USA, Canada, Germany and Israel.
ROSHEN employs 240 people directly, although the total number of employees in all factories is more. Thus, the number of workers at the Kyiv confectionery factory is 3500 people, Vinnitskaya - 2270, Mariupol - 1160, Kremenchug - 985, Lipetsk - 1200. At the Bershadmoloko dairy plant - 415. In the logistics center ROSHEN - 375.
2007: Sales up 25% to $650m
In 2007, ROSHEN sold products worth $650 million, a quarter more than in 2006. The total production of confectionery products is 350 thousand tons (13% more than in 2006). For the Ukrainian market, the corporation produced 150 thousand tons of products (11% more than a year earlier).
ROSHEN is actively investing in the expansion and modernization of production. In 2007, about 100 million euros were invested in the development of production and capital construction. The equipment of Mariupol, Kyiv and Kremenchug confectionery factories (KF) was modernized for a total of $13.3 million. Motor vehicles purchased for $1.7 million.
To successfully promote its products in international markets, ROSHEN implements international standards for product quality and production. So, in 2007, the facilities of ROSHEN Corporation received certificates of international food quality and safety standards ISO 22000:2005.
2000: Creation of a single brand for four confectionery factories in Ukraine
By 2000, the ROSHEN confectionery corporation (at that time Ukrprominvestkonditer) included four factories - the Kyiv im. Karl Marx, Mariupolskaya, Vinnytsia and Kremenchugskaya. Ukrprominvestkonditer planned the production activities of factories, provided raw materials, and sold products.
At all enterprises of the corporation, the same quality standard was established, the requirements for the finished product were unified, but at the same time, in the consumer's understanding, the products of four factories were not associated with one manufacturer. Thus, the company faced the task of identifying products with a single brand and creating a national Ukrainian brand.
The decision to create a new brand was made in the same 2000. The development of the ROSHEN brand was carried out by the Marketing Technologies Bureau. The foreign sound of the Ukrainian brand was explained as a desire to create an international confectionery brand with the aim of further expansion into foreign markets. Active advertising support for the ROSHEN brand began in 2002
