The Ministry of Digital Affairs of the Sverdlovsk Region will test the domestic communication platform

2021: Start Testing CommuniGate Pro

The Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Sverdlovsk Region and CommuniGate Systems signed a memorandum of cooperation in the framework of the transition to domestic software, provided for by the national project "Digital Economy of Russia." This was announced by CommuniGate Systems on November 1, 2021.

The document involves the ministry testing the unified communications platform CommuniGate Pro. Throughout the year, ministry officials will use the platform to solve everyday tasks. As explained by the Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Sverdlovsk Region Mikhail Ponomarkov, in fact, we are talking about a system that will provide users with e-mail, calendars, instant messaging and a number of other services.

In the case of successful tests, a gradual transition to the use of this platform by all authorities state and municipal authorities of Sverdlovsk the region is possible.

We understand that the communication system is a priority IT service that ensures the effective and uninterrupted operation of the state and municipal authorities of our region. We expect that the CommuniGate Pro platform will meet its task and the testing will be completed successfully. The result information will allow us to form unified requirements for the future project for the implementation of such a decision in all state and municipal institutions of the region and organize appropriate competitive procedures, "said Mikhail Ponomarkov, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Sverdlovsk Region.

As of November 2021, the executive authorities of the region use electronic communications services produced by foreign companies. This inhibits the implementation of the import substitution program approved by the Russian government and does not provide a single and convenient interaction space for all municipal and state employees.

Over the past few years, the CommuniGate Pro platform has become, in fact, the standard of de facto communication solutions for most regional and federal authorities. We are responsible for communications of departments in almost all regions and republics of our country. We very much appreciate that the Sverdlovsk region will be able to fully use our solution. CommuniGate Systems is a domestic developer. Pilot testing of the platform will begin as early as 2021. In turn, the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region will form a communications control center to create a reliable network of interaction between civil servants of the entire region.
