2021: Remote training of employees using the Equio platform

On November 8, 2021, Equio announced that the Roscosmos Corporate Academy is starting to remotely train its employees using the Equio platform. At the beginning of November 2021, 1000 licenses were purchased to solve the tasks of the Academy. The first users of the platform will be employees of the legal department, as well as departments responsible for capital construction, personnel and social policy.

The Roscosmos Corporate Academy as of November 2021 is a key educational center for the rocket and space industry (RKO), combining current Russian and world practices in the field of training and personnel development. Students of the Academy are specialists and managers of all levels of the State Corporation Roscosmos and RKO enterprises, as well as external customers. "Academy" acts as a platform-integrator between universities, the Russian Academy of Sciences and industry enterprises. The Corporate Academy provides training, testing, certification, consulting and strategic sessions for 178,000 employees of different professions and levels in such disciplines as personal efficiency, management, legal aspects, personnel management, finance and many others. The Academy also carries out international activities, teaching students from different countries such disciplines as remote sensing of the Earth, international space law, the creation of cubsats (ultra-small artificial Earth satellites for space exploration) and others.

The Equio platform is a remote training system (RES), which is a corporate portal and platform for online training, management, motivation and adaptation of staff. For more than 7 years, the platform has helped HR specialists and heads of various departments manage employees through a computer and mobile phone.

The need to introduce a distance learning system arose due to the growing need to test various groups of employees from different enterprises more often, to organize advanced training courses that Academy specialists will appoint to particular groups of employees.

To determine the choice of platform, strategic sessions and discussion clubs were held between specialists from different enterprises of the rocket and space industry, which are members of the Roscosmos State Corporation, and the functions that are necessary to solve the tasks of training the personnel of each of the enterprises were identified. In addition, it was determined which functions can be transferred to the online distance learning system.

The broad basic functionality of the Equio platform allows you to launch a solution adapted to the needs of the customer, with a minimum of technical changes. According to the company, for the tasks of the "Corporate Academy of Roscosmos" it was not necessary to introduce additional functions and make improvements - the client completely arranged a standard set. The only transformation that is implemented is included in the standard package of options: the solution was made visually in accordance with the Corporate Academy brand book. Academy experts noted that the simplicity and attractiveness of the interface played an important role in deciding on the choice of platform. They especially appreciated the possibility of flexible solution configuration. This is important in a situation where the system is used exclusively to test the knowledge of a certain category of users. For example, lawyers. When opening the application first, they do not need to see all the possible functionality in the side menu. After gaining access, the employee sees 3-4 sections that are important for his specific actions: passing training or testing.
