2021: Philips OLED 806 и Philips OLED 706

On November 9, 2021, TP Vision (TPV) announced that 55-inch Philips OLED 806 TVs, as well as Philips OLED 706 with a diagonal of 55 and 65 inches, appeared on sale in Russia. The TVs are equipped with the next generation P5 processor with artificial intelligence, Ambilight backlight and fine-tuning functions. These are TVs based on the fifth generation P5 processor.

Philips OLED 806

According to the company, Philips OLED 806 TVs have increased chip power compared to previous versions. The picture is not just contrasting and bright - it remains so always, adapting to the type of content on the screen and the lighting conditions that an intelligent sensor recognizes.

The upgrade of the processor to the P5 generation and the built-in software made it possible to optimize the number of automatic recognition criteria: Philips OLED 806 knows what type of scenes are displayed on the screen, determines the skin color of the clip characters, recognizes the movement and recording of sports events, automatically distinguishes films from other content. And taking into account these data, dynamically adjusts the color and contrast of the picture. Different movie playback modes are preset on the TV. And an advanced user can activate the director mode and configure all parameters on his own.

Philips OLED 806 supports all HDR standards, including HDR10 + Adaptive. So, the color depth of 10 bits, the brightness of up to 4,000 nits and more than a billion shades are not only preserved in the most dynamic scenes, but also adapt to changes in lighting.

The "smart" illumination of Ambilight is the calling card of Philips OLED TVs. A light halo repeating the picture palette surrounds the Philips OLED 806 screen on all sides. The model has a thin metal frame.

The color selection algorithm in Ambilight in real time reads data from the screen and transmits it to LEDs - synchronization occurs quickly, and the effect of presence in the film is not interrupted for a moment. In the same way, Ambilight adjusts to music and game content. Accompanying the music, Ambilight analyzes the dynamics of the track in real time, transmitting its emotional color and rhythm.

In standby mode, Ambilight turns from a means of dynamically tracking a picture into an interior game tool: the illumination spectrum covers many shades - from hot red lava to cold white.

The center of the multimedia system simply needs to work with game consoles. In Philips OLED 806, not only HDMI 2.1 is responsible for synchronizing with the console video adapter, but also hardware and software solutions. This is Auto-Low-Latency mode, which, combined with FreeSync Premium Pro technology, copes with any artifacts and screen breaks - tyrings. The game mode is turned on automatically.

The own audio system is three speakers with a power of 50 watts. Her heart is a subwoofer with four passive speakers. Philips OLED 806 is compatible with Philips's own wireless multicast system - DTS Play-Fi: simply, the user can output sound to any device connected to Wi-Fi.

Philips OLED 806 is equipped with a steel console in a leather case with button lighting. Operating system Android 10 TV OS is compatible with voice assistants Google Assistant and. Alexa

On board the Philips OLED 706 TV is the same fifth-generation processor, the same artificial intelligence and support for Dolby formats for sound and video content. This model also runs on the Android platform, which opens access to many applications and content.

But at the same time, the Philips OLED 706 is distinguished by available options for the diagonal 55 and 65 inches, as well as not four-, but three-way Ambilight backlight. Together with it, the soaring screen effect helps create legs-supports and a thin metal frame.
