On November 10, 2021, Infinet Wireless, a global developer and manufacturer of wireless broadband access systems, helps ensure forest security in the Burubai Nature Reserve by providing wireless communication channels for an early fire detection system. Burubai State National Park is one of the beautiful nature reserves of Kazakhstan with coniferous forests and medical lakes, mountain landscapes, rare animals and plants in the Akmola region. The area of ​ ​ the park is more than 129 thousand hectares. To ensure safety and prevent fires, a video surveillance platform equipped with special software, a geographic information system and wireless data channels based on Infinet solutions of the Vector 5 point-to-point topology with a bandwidth of up to 450 Mbps was deployed on the reserve. In total, 14 radio channels were installed - they provide coverage for a significant part of the reserve.

When fire is detected, video cameras equipped with high-accuracy thermal imagers recognize the cloud against the background of the forest, capturing the signal at distances up to 13 km, determine the coordinates of the fire center and transmit information to a single dispatch center in a matter of seconds. Some Infinet radio channels were built above the surface of Lake Borovoe, located on the territory of the reserve. The water surface is known to have a strong influence on the communication channel due to multipath and amplitude distortion. Vector 5 solutions are equipped with all mechanisms for maintaining a stable communication channel - this is automatic signal strength adjustment (AGC), automatic retransmission request in case of loss of part of data during signal propagation (ARQ), reduction of interference impact, etc. Also, when interference occurs at the operating frequency from other devices, Instant DFS technology allows you to automatically change the center frequency without interrupting communication.

The project was also implemented by Bailanys Telecom & Technology, a communications service provider, and Antares Engineering, which is responsible for the installation of equipment and installation.
