Rostelecom has created a telecom infrastructure for the airport in Tobolsk

Rostelecom on November 10, 2021 announced the organization of access to telecommunications services through fiber-optic communication lines for the Tobolsk Remezov airport in the Tyumen region.

Specialists of the national digital provider built fiber-optic communication lines with a length of 20 kilometers to the airport, installed the necessary equipment, connected high-speed Internet and telephone services.

In the building of the airport "Rostelecom" deployed a Wi-Fi network. Thanks to the provider's digital solution, visitors can use the wireless Internet for free in the waiting room and air passenger registration area. The hardware supports up to 150 simultaneous connections. Users are authorized by phone number, SMS or through an account on the public services portal.

The construction of a telecommunications network in parallel with the construction of the airport is a process that requires an individual approach. The presence of a developed digital infrastructure of Rostelecom in the Tobolsk region made it possible to organize a fiber-optic communication line for the main and backup channels with geographically spaced routes in the shortest possible time. Thanks to the created infrastructure, the airport is provided with digital services and individual IT solutions for the safe operation of the air harbor. Plans for 2022 include the organization of interactive television at the airport, "said Vladimir Barvinsky, director of the branch in the Tyumen and Kurgan regions of Rostelecom PJSC.
