2021: Tableau Platform Implementation

UniCredit Bank and GlowByte have completed a project to implement Tableau to further develop BI analytics capabilities at the Bank. This was announced on November 17, 2021 by GlowByte.

The GlowByte team participated in the construction of reports for top management, and also, together with experts Bank , developed a framework with an approach to creating and developing Self-Service BI.

The main reasons for the implementation of Tableau were:

• Provide business users of Self-Service BI with a BI analytics tool that has great data capabilities and self-build reports and dashboards in a user-friendly interface
• The need for an interactive dashboard tool
• providing access to dashboards on mobile devices using a convenient and secure mobile application (which became especially relevant during the transition to remote work);
• the need to embed Python/R code into existing BI tools to visualize data analysis results, test Data Science hypotheses, monitor the quality of model metrics, and build trends.

One of our goals is to implement and develop the capabilities of Self-Service BI, which, of course, implies the availability of effective tools for working with data. The implementation of Tableau provides the opportunity for business units and lines of competence of the Bank to independently create the necessary reports and carry out data analytics, and also allows management to gain secure access to interactive dashboards on mobile devices, said Mariam Sargsyan, Head of Business Intelligence, Data Management Department of UniCredit Bank.

I am sure that the implementation of dashboards, as well as the framework developed jointly with Bank experts, is an excellent example of the ongoing development of Self-Service BI culture in the Bank, commented Ekaterina Panferova, head of Business Intelligence GlowByte practice.
