2021: Ensuring the Safety of Intelligent Energy Metering

On November 22, 2021, Softline announced the implementation of a project to ensure the safety of an intelligent electricity metering system. For "smart" counters in the city of Togliatti, protection systems against physical and "digital" impact were installed.

The regional supplier of electricity for the population and legal entities in Togliatti - Togliatti Energy Retail Company (TEK) - connected smart electricity meters to AIISKUE (Automated Information and Measurement System for Commercial Accounting of Electricity) of thousands of consumers of apartment buildings, but for the full operation of the system it is also necessary to ensure its safety.

Softline (is a licensee of FSTEC and FSB) won an open competition for the creation of a protection system. The installation of security tools took place in several stages. Information security was first set up . To prevent theft at remote sites, protective equipment was mounted in special metal locking boxes with a set of different sensors. A special remote sensor monitoring device allows you to monitor online information about opening, movement, power supply, humidity, impact, etc. Video cameras were installed at each site for visual inspection .

Softline also secured the information flow: all data (from video surveillance to information from counters and sensors) are sent through an encrypted communication channel. Softline specialists created a secure network inside the fuel and energy complex to protect the system. Thus, all traffic is encrypted by GOST. In addition, additional security tools have been deployed to fully meet federal and industry information protection requirements.

Finally, Softline specialists finalized the organizational and administrative documentation for formalizing the security processes of the protection object.
