The implementation project of EDMS is implemented for the purpose of creation of the accurate and flexible scheme of work with documents, process automation of document handling, increase in speed and quality of work of employees and the company in general. The choice of an electronic document management system is caused by its scalability and a tallying to the main requirements of the customer.

Operation of a system allowed to adjust collective work with documents, to organize record keeping in electronic form and the centralized tracking of the movement of all documents of holding (document registration, creation of resolutions on them and instructions, control of the movement and execution, installation of communications between documents, formation of affairs, accounting of all correspondence and so forth).

The universal workplace of a system implemented in two interfaces (Lotus Notes and Web) gave the chance to provide access to databases of a system not only from the client of Notes, but also from the web browser. Existence of a universal workplace helped to reduce the project cost of implementation and time of payback of an electronic document management system because more expensive specialized working systems are put to several subject specialists, and other participants of document flow work with a system using simpler and convenient in use, but cheaper workplace.
