DocsVision SharePoint Edition is the special edition of a system intended for the organization of joint work DocsVision and Microsoft SharePoint as a part of single solution on management of documents and business processes of the enterprise.

Situation – the customer organizes document storage (ready, approved, approved) based on SharePoint. At the same time processes of preparation and approval of documents are carried out traditionally – in e-mail, at local workstations, file servers and them (these processes) need to be arranged, using DocsVision as a management tool processes of creation, adjustment, approval, a statement and validation of documents. A common example of such task is the organization of documentation on quality management at the enterprise. The most part of users uses documents for information only – it is necessary to find and read the document. The minority of users participates in processes of preparation, approval and document approval.

• SharePoint as frontend of the corporate application of the class WorkFlow (processing of requests, addresses and so forth)

The situation – is available for the customer functionally and organizationally the selected service (personnel department, AHO, a finance department, IT department, etc.) which communicates with most of personnel through requests and their execution. Workflow in service is implemented on DocsVision, requests are accepted through SharePoint, course of execution of requests is also published on SharePoint (in the user representation 'my requests"). Acceptance, scheduling, formation of dresses, control of execution of requests, support worflow and the reporting of functional service is implemented on DocsVision. Also the publication of the reporting for the management on SharePoint is possible.

The storage of documents is implemented completely on SharePoint. DocsVision acts as the document flow engine, supporting routes of documents, necessary workflow.

• Classical office-work on SharePoint

The DocsVision Office-work application as a part of the solution implements all functionality necessary SEDO. SharePoint acts as the interface frontend for access to functionality of Office-work of DocsVision.

• The single system of management of documents of the enterprise in which a part of documents is stored in SharePoint and other part - in DocsVision. In such solution end-to-end document retrieval in both storages at once, a single system of a categorization of documents, an opportunity to use the documents which are stored in SharePoint in the business processes implemented in DocsVision is necessary.

• DocsVision as SharePoint integration tool with corporate applications

The gateways DocsVision and the Process management application are used for the organization of data exchange between SharePoint and applications (for example 1C: Enterprise).

• Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook as clients of Business Process Management Suite of the enterprise based on DocsVision (since Office 2010)

Accomplishment of the main scenarios of document handling (processing initialization, control of execution and the course of process, accomplishment of separate processing stages of the document) directly from the Microroft Office applications. In Microsoft Office applications in a task bar - there is an opportunity to fill out details of the document and parameters business of process on its processing. Appears also ribbon DocsVision allowing to start the business process connected with the document, created previously in the editor of business processes of DocsVision (without programming). Status monitoring of business process is made in the task bar connected with the document. Execution of processing stages of the document is implemented through special job enrichment of Outlook.

Updating of May, 2011

In the new version the functionality designed to increase convenience of using of the easy (HTML) DocsVision interface is implemented. In DocsVision SharePoint Edition such opportunities as work with files (reading, editing) and with a task card (state change, input of parameters of end, delegation) without the need for installation client the DocsVision component appeared. It should be noted that in the new version the full-fledged work both in the new version of the Internet Explorer 9 browser, and in the Firefox and Chrome browsers is supported.

DocsVision SharePoint Edition provides to users of SharePoint a full range of tools for fast creation of dokumentooborotny solutions based on SharePoint and also allows to work in the SharePoint interface with any of ready applications of DocsVision, including tasks of classical domestic office-work and control of performing discipline. It allows customers to use more fully functionality of Microsoft applications of SharePoint, Microsoft Office and Outlook.

One of the most important advantages of DocsVision SharePoint Edition is that thanks to the high-level DocsVision tools expanding standard functionality of SharePoint, creation of new applications for SharePoint does not require programming – the customer can develop the ready and configured applications by own efforts without involvement of programmers. It should be noted that the customer does not depend on a release of new versions of DocsVision and SharePoint – the policy of DocsVision is synchronous updating of SharePoint Edition both at a release of the new version of SharePoint, and at a release of the new version of DocsVision.

In DocsVision SharePoint Edition all tools necessary for creation of flexible, powerful and modern EDMS on the Microsoft SharePoint platform are implemented: specially configured navigation panels (web parts) intended for work of users with documents and tasks, Business Process Management Suite necessary for routing of documents and tasks, and also for integration of EDMS with other systems of the enterprise, a development tool of cards of documents, including not only forms, but their functional logic of work.

The new version of DocsVision SharePoint Edition represents tool kit, SharePoint as the EDMS platform supplementing functionality and allows to create quickly solutions on workflow automation based on SharePoint and also to develop the ready and configured applications by own efforts, without involvement of programmers. Work of users with any of applications of DocsVision, including tasks of classical office-work and control of performing discipline, is performed in the SharePoint interface that allows customers to use more fully functionality of Microsoft applications of SharePoint, Microsoft Office and Outlook.

2014: Updating of the module Docsvision 5 SharePoint client

The client for SharePoint - the add-on module of the Docsvision 5 system providing expansion of standard functionality SharePoint and creation of the solutions implementing joint work of Docsvision and SharePoint. The release of the new version of the module is caused, first of all, by need of support of SharePoint 2013. In addition, SharePoint the client underwent radical changes and is, in fact, a new product, but not the advanced version available.

The module includes a set of web parts for data access, stored in Docsvision, and document retrieval and also the SharePoint expansions allowing to create tasks and documents including on the basis of the documents located in library of documents SharePoint.

SharePoint the client - the first system module of Docsvision providing support of work with documents and files in the working groups and at the same time - automation of tough regulations of approval, a statement and storage of white papers.

The organizations having established practices of group work in SharePoint bases can, without changing anything and without transferring documents to Docsvision base, to use all mechanisms of group work of the SharePoint portal. Directly from SharePoint of the client it is possible to initiate giving to the document of the official status (its start on approval and a statement), retaining at the same time control of the movement of the document in EDMS. At the same time in SharePoint the client tasks from Docsvision and the related files are displayed that allows to work also with white papers, without leaving the SharePoint interface usual to the user.
