Microsoft Office 2010 is a suite of office applications developed by Microsoft. The product will be available in June 2010. Sales of other products of the 2010 line will begin at the same time.
Office 2010 will be available in Professional, Professional Plus and Home & Business editions. The second edition will be the most complete - it, among other things, will include InfoPath, SharePoint Workplace and Communicator. The Home & Business revision will include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and the email and time management app Outlook. The Home & Student editorial board (for home and study) is not mentioned on Microsoft's website.
The package has improved the interface (ribbon menu in all applications), the file menu has been replaced with a separate page called Backstage View, improved work with the clipboard, graphs in Excel, and expanded the functionality of Outlook.
In November, Microsoft released an open beta version of the product, including for the first time in Russian. Anyone can download and try the beta version of Office 2010 for free after registration. The size of the distribution is about 600 MB (Professional Plus edition).
Service Pack 2
On July 23, 2013, Microsoft announced that Service Pack 2 was available for download for Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010.
The final release of SP2 contains all previously released Office 2010 updates, in particular, improved compatibility with IE10, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 and Office 2013.
Office Web
Together with Office 2010, the company will for the first time release a set of web applications that will allow you to work with text documents, spreadsheets, presentations and notes through a browser without installing the software on your computer's local disk. This package, called Office Web, will be available for free to both individual users and companies that will purchase multiplayer licenses for Office 2010.
