2021: Axelot WMS X5 Implementation
Axelot WMS X5 was introduced in the warehouse of the dairy manufacturer LLC "Favorite City." Axelot (Axelot) announced this on December 8, 2021.
The priority tasks of the project - the introduction of tools for controlling residual shelf life in the context of nomenclature and counterparties and maintaining the logistical efficiency of the warehouse complex - were implemented in full.
The assortment of the enterprise as of December 2021 has more than 40 positions, which are issued under the trademarks "Favorite City," "My Favorite Summer," "Active Energy."
Productivity and efficiency gains are not possible without the use of software solutions to automate business processes, including warehouse operations.
The operation of dairy warehouses has a number of specific business processes. For example, compliance with state reporting requirements in the federal state information system "Mercury." Another important point is strict control of shelf life and compliance with various requirements for residual shelf life when shipping products to counterparties. The need to comply with these conditions prompted the management of LLC "Beloved City" to automate the operation of the warehouse.
After analyzing the solutions presented on the market, studying their functionality and getting acquainted with the positive implementation experience, the company's management chose the AXELOT WMS X5 system, which was implemented by AXELOT specialists.
The company's warehouse is located in the Volgograd region, the storage area is 1214 square meters. m, the number of active products - 500 items. The most important criterion was the introduction of tools for controlling residual shelf life in the context of nomenclature and counterparties, as well as the possibility of working with batches. Another critical task is to realize the possibility of operating the warehouse in conditions of its overcrowding.
Standard algorithms for working under FEFO did not allow for normal selection, therefore, so that the existing warehouse could work normally, a new queue of tasks "Free universal selection" was implemented within the project, which allows the performer to choose from which pallets to select the goods, and the system tracks the remaining shelf life.
This solution is a temporary but necessary measure that allows you to maintain the normal operation of the warehouse, and employees get used to working in the implemented WMS system. In the future, already in the new warehouse, operations and processes will be completely controlled by WMS algorithms and the transition to full system functionality for all employees will be much easier.
Already in December 2021, the warehouse is fully automated and the ability to control its processes in real time is implemented. The conditions for reporting to FGIS Mercury and tracking of residual shelf life have been met, work is underway with parties. In the warehouse, it was possible to reduce the number of errors during the acceptance, selection and shipment of the goods. The company's management plans for the near future are to launch a warehouse complex, the work of which will be automated on the basis of AXELOT WMS X5.
