2021: Detention of centre staff on charges of kidnapping
In the Orenburg region, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the help of the Russian Guard, detained employees of the fictitious rehabilitation center "There is a solution," who abducted people under the guise of providing assistance for addicts to alcoholism and drug addiction. Entrepreneurial "doctors" provided their services through a created site on which the medical center was advertised.
Turning to representatives of this organization, relatives paid for the treatment of their loved ones, after which they were forcibly transported to the rented premises, "said Irina Volk, official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. |
After getting into the institution, patients were bullied by employees, they exerted psychological and moral pressure, did not allow communication with relatives, and phone calls were allowed only once a week under the strict control of the guards. At the same time, they could not provide real assistance in the rehabilitation center - the employees did not have the appropriate education and assistance was not provided to anyone.
At different times, more than 20 people were in the walls of the "medical center" - they were all detained illegally. The identities of the suspects were established as a result of operational-search measures.
The Leninsky court of Orenburg sent two employees of the rehabilitation center - Vladislav Kozonkov and Denis Utkin - to the pre-trial detention center until at least January 9, 2022. They were charged with kidnapping and illegal detention.
Earlier in the Rostov region, security forces covered the medical center, where 12 kidnapped people were held by force, one of whom is a 14-year-old girl. Employees of the medical center abducted people under the guise of providing psychological assistance to people suffering from alcoholism and drug addiction, and then extorted money from their relatives.
Fraudsters abducted their patients with the use of physical force and, forcibly holding them in the car cabin, brought them to a medical center for the rehabilitation of drug addicts in the Kurgan farm of the Azov district.[1]
