2021: Construction of low-current infrastructure in the Ulyanovsk region

The Beltel system integrator announced on November 29, 2021 that he had built a weak-current infrastructure for the Arkhbum production site in the Ulyanovsk Region. The first stage of the Arkhbum corrugated cardboard production plant is located on the site of the reconstructed buildings of the former Elektromash plant in the Zavolzhsky district of Ulyanovsk.

For many years, Beltel has been cooperating with Archbum enterprises in the Moscow, Voronezh and Kaluga regions. The site in Ulyanovsk is the fifth enterprise of Arkhbum, equipped with a system integrator. Within the framework of the project, the design, delivery, installation and commissioning of the telecommunications infrastructure and the integrated security system were carried out .

The Rittal telecommunication cabinets in production and office are combined by a logical star inside a physical optical ring. Required for production equipment, workstations, video surveillance, WI-FI, MCDS and DECT, the SCS system for 500 ports is built on Eurolan category 6 components.

The specifics of the enterprise's work, in particular the functioning of raw materials and finished products warehouses, require Wi-Fi. Beltel's design solutions in the field of building Wi-Fi networks using access points with external directional antennas, introduced in 2017 at the Archbum site in Istra, have become the standard of the enterprise. To fully cover the production areas of the first phase of construction, according to the simulation, 66 Cisco access points were required.

To telephonize the four Arkhbum plants, a single distributed Cisco PBX was introduced, the main servers of which are located in the Podolsky branch of the company. The DECT Spectralink system, first used at the Voronezh site, is also accepted as a standard and copied to other branches and construction lines.

All four plants have a single fault-tolerant MCDS server integrated with the SAP ERP system. An interesting solution was the use of access cards to provide discounts to employees in production canteens. Centralization of PBX and MCDS systems reduces the cost of their support.

To ensure the security of the territory and perimeter of the enterprise, as well as control the processes of production lines, a video surveillance system was built using 120 cameras Hikvision and a server Data Storage Synology with the ability to record an archive for more than a month.

Beltel also installed and commissioned the engineering systems of the server room: air conditioning, gas fire extinguishing systems on the Border equipment and uninterrupted power supply on Schneider Electric equipment with a total capacity of 40 kW.

The second and third phase of the construction of Arkhbum-Ulyanovsk - the expansion of the areas of the raw materials warehouse and the finished products warehouse - should be completed in 2022. The total construction area of the next phases is 20,000 square meters, which will require the system integrator to study in detail the expansion of systems taking into account existing solutions.
