Rosatom Infrastructure Solutions ( RIR, division of Rosatom State Corporation), together with the Municipal City Management Center, has introduced services that allow residents to receive personal notifications about water or light outages, and entrepreneurs to assess the investment attractiveness of urban locations. The service "Publications of operational notifications" solves one of the main tasks of urban communication - timely informing about work on energy and utility networks. Now data from resource-supplying organizations, municipal services and civil defense emergencies flock to a single digital center. Residents can sign up for notifications at specific addresses (such as their home, work or a child's school). The system will automatically notify about planned repairs or emergency situations through the selected communication channel: in your personal account on the website, in the mobile application, by e-mail or via SMS.

The second service - "Non-stationary trading facilities" - makes the sphere of street trade transparent. The interactive map of the city now displays all official kiosks and pavilions with detailed data: specialization, status, allowed period of operation and the term of the contract. This tool is useful for two audiences at once. Residents can quickly find the desired product or check the legality of installing a retail outlet at home. Small businesses get a visual map of the market, which helps to assess competition and find a legal place to place a new outlet.

The introduction of services on the Smart City platform corresponds to the strategic tasks of digitalizing urban economy. The development of the Smart city of Volgodonsk platform is being carried out, among other things, under an agreement between Rosatom State Corporation and the Government of the Rostov Region with the support of the Rosenergoatom Concern. At this stage of the project, five schools in the city have implemented programs to optimize the use of communal resources, which are further planned to be replicated to all municipal institutions. Schools are equipped with smart meters. In three schools, it is possible to adjust the heating schedule, automatically adjust the temperature in the building depending on the temperature outside, and during the holidays and for the weekend switch it to "economical mode."

In the city Lyceum No. 24, access control and video surveillance systems were also launched. Data on the number of students and staff flock to the personal account of authorized employees, this will allow you to track non-standard situations and coordinate actions in the event of force majeure.

In the city, at 20 public transport stops, information panels appeared, as well as a video surveillance system for container sites, which allows you to control their condition and the schedule of garbage collection (video cameras were installed at five container sites). Confirmation that the garbage was taken is visually displayed on the platform. This equipment can monitor the filling of garbage cans, record cases if, for example, construction waste is unloaded into containers for household waste. In addition, the system provides an archive and video analytics to record smoke and fire.

In Volgodonsk, the Atommash nuclear engineering plant is located, the southernmost Russian nuclear power plant is the Rostov nuclear power plant and most residents are somehow connected with the nuclear industry.
