2022: Launch of pharmacy chain
In January 2022, it became known about the launch of the L'Etoile chain of cosmetics and perfumes stores on the pharmacy market. The first point of sale of medicines and medical products was launched near the L'Etoile store on Novy Arbat in Moscow. The operator of the new network is Alcor and Co LLC, which manages L'Etoile stores.
The company plans to open up to 15 pharmacies in Moscow and other million-plus cities in the country in the future. The owner of the L'Etoile network has updated the page in the job search service for HeadHunter: the company is interested in finding pharmacists in pharmacies in Novogireevo and Novy Arbat.
Back in 2021, Alkor and Co registered a license to trade in medicines at five addresses in Moscow: Nakhimovsky Prospekt, Novogireevo, Zemlyanoy Val and the village of Znamya Oktyabrsky in the NovDonbass district.
L'Etoile is not the first cosmetic retailer in Russia to launch the trade in pharmaceuticals. The Magnit and Erkafarm networks previously entered this market. The Erkafarm project was closed.
Colleagues had such logic that the pharmacy is complementary to beauty. It was decided to open a pharmacy in almost every Magnit Cosmetics, such a conditional drogery. This logic was implemented, and now a number of such objects are opened, since there really is synergy and the conversion of pharmacy traffic into "beauty" and vice versa, "Valeria Solok, ex-director of the Health project of the Magnit network, told reporters in 2019. |
Until 2023, Magnit planned to open about 6.5-7 thousand points near grocery stores and Magnit Cosmetics, but by the end of 2019 it had slowed down, focusing on restoring sales in operating stores. In the year from mid-2020, Magnit closed almost a third of existing pharmacies, as of July 1, 2021 there were 898 of them.[1][2]
