Biography
He graduated from St. Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economics, Faculty of Law and Economic Security.
He began his career in the northwestern branch of Rostelecom.
In 2003-2019 He worked at MegaFon, where he went from a legal adviser in the northwestern branch to a director of relations with state bodies of MegaFon's head office.
In 2019, as general director, he moved to Cometrica, which develops digital B2G and B2B solutions for smart cities, businesses and government customers.
In 2016-2018 taught at the magistracy of the Higher School of Economics and Moscow State University.
2022: Director of Government Relations, Legal Affairs and Corporate Governance at Tele2
On January 14, 2022, Tele2 announced that it was combining GR work and legal function in the company. In the fall of 2021, Dmitry Petrov was appointed Director for Interaction with State Bodies, Legal Affairs and Corporate Governance.
In this role, he will focus on protecting the legal interests of the company, managing interaction with government bodies, including the FAS, and legal support for strategically important Tele2 projects.
Combining GR issues and legal function in Tele2 will allow better working out regulatory initiatives. In addition, it will help seamlessly integrate changes into the company's current activities, focusing on the most problematic areas of regulation.
