2020
Since 2019, the enterprise has introduced a closed cycle of electronic document management of production accounting. On the basis of the process passport, picking lists, invoices for the transfer of materials to the site and the transfer of DCE along the further processing route are formed. Based on closed operations of the process passport, records are generated in the electronic quality log in automated mode, and replacement reports are generated.
The electronic pick list process in the ERP system, Omega Production, has been selected as the automated business process. PIX Robotics - PIX Robot + PIX Studio was chosen as the RPA platform.
Automation of the business process was aimed at timely and accurate write-off of parts and materials from warehouses, with the subsequent introduction of the performed operations into the accounting system. 22 workshops were subject to robotization.
3 phases of implementation
Since there was no experience with RPA at the enterprise, a decision was made to implement the task in three stages.
- Stage 1: Automate the generation of the item composition of the pick list according to the number of products in each order from the route list.
- Stage 2: Automate the reservation of items in warehouses for each pick list, with the subsequent issue of reserved batches and the creation of an in-house delivery note. At this stage, an intelligent algorithm was implemented, which, when reserving batches, takes into account the warranty time of parts and manufactured products.
- Stage 3: Automate search and reserve item counterparts if you do not have the necessary components to assemble. The robot selects and reserves analogues in the warehouses of the enterprise, after which it records information about the replacement in the accounting system.
All actions of the Robot are summarized into a daily report displaying the status for each task.
Project Results
The use of automation made it possible to process documents 24 hours a day. Before automation, this work was carried out only in the first shift from 8.00 to 17.00, although tasks for picking orders were created by workshop masters in the second and, even, in the third working shifts.
Per day, the Robot can process more than 100 documents for picking orders from 50 items using only one license. This is at least twice as productive as the routine labor that a person previously performed. For the month, the Robot on average creates 95% of the pick lists for the workshop, the average number of lists is 1,000-1,200 per month.
The robotic process is completely transparent and standardized, Robot operations are performed in a timely manner and without errors.
