The corporate information system of 'Omega Production' is intended for complex business process automation of industrial enterprises. A system is one of the few domestic developments covering all repartitions of production process of the enterprise: from technical training of production before maintenance of products during the warranty and post-warranty periods, – allows to coordinate to the enterprise in a single stream information of design, technology, economical services and also services of providing, marketing and administration of the enterprise.
On structure and ideology of creation of 'Omega Production' belongs to the class of the production management systems meeting the requirements of CALS technologies. A system includes the developed modules of management of engineering data and technical document flow forming the built-in PDM module.
'Omega Production' has well developed functionality for implementation of planning and production management, including inventory management. There is a module which is responsible for product quality control.
Today CIS of 'Omega Production' is positioned in the market as the information management system by production and resources for industrial enterprise with production type – from single and small-scale to business lot.
The Omega Production system includes such main modules as:
- management of engineering data;
- technical document flow;
- production planning;
- operational accounting and production management;
- inventory management and logistics;
- quality management.
CIS of 'Omega Production' has an open architecture and is under construction on the basis of the COM modules providing standard communication with other systems.
The module of the Universal client loads the task list according to the user's rights. Each of tasks is implemented as a set of modules which share on:
- the modules providing information presentation logic;
- the modules which are responsible for business logic, providing data processing and exchange with the database.
Communication with the database is executed through OLEDB provider. As the database server Oracle 8.x, 9.x or 10.kh can be used. Interactions between modules are provided using COM technology. Interfaces to the above-named COM objects are provided in a system. Together with a system also interfaces with the description are delivered. Besides, the database structure (PDM file) with the detailed description is composition, up to the description of communications and columns of tables.
Using COM interfaces and opened databases of a system, specialists of the Customer can by own efforts:
- develop programs of data exchange with systems existing at the enterprise;
- create additional reports on the basis of data of a system;
- implement additional tasks in a system.
For determination of the reasons of faulty situations, in a system there is a file of errors (log-file). It automatically forms at emergence of such situations. The file contains information on date and time of emergence of an error, the short description and an error code.

It is possible to carry to the general changes such as:
- Emergence of x64 of the bit version of the client of a system
- Development of the client for mobile devices
- Emergence of functionality of shaped coding for all business objects of a system

Regarding CIS of "Omega Production" which is responsible for management of engineering data following was developed funtsionat:
- Change management taking into account numbers of the released copies of products
- The data exchange block with CAD - systems is upgraded
- Expansion of opportunities for maintaining technology structure: an opportunity to set technology compliances on all vkhodimost, inheritance of compliances
- Setup of a possibility of formation of identifiers of documents on the user template a binding to shaped coding of paper copies and quick search on base of the corresponding electronic record about the document.
Many changes happened in modules of inventory management and production management:
- The mechanism of placement of batches of Inventories on storage locations is improved
- Functions of the analysis of scheduled and actual supplies of material resources are developed
- Mechanisms of assessment of requirement and security of course of production on a delivery cycle are implemented
- The mechanism of shaped coding for convenient closing of the executed transactions of batches of DSE is connected
- The diagram of issue of Inventories in production is developed for ensuring timely delivery of Inventories from warehouses in production divisions
- The mechanism of lot-based accounting of issue of materials, purchased component parts and parts of own production in production is improved
- The visual interface of indicators of production indicators is implemented
- The graphical interface of submission of the program of production in the form of the chart Ganta is improved
- Functions of viewing diagrams in the different modes are developed (taking into account loading of resources, with the fact, comparison, etc.)
- The flexible mechanism of a task of model parameters of planning is implemented
- The functionality of viewing loading of the equipment and professions both in graphic, and in tabular representation is developed.
