The main goal of the project is to transfer the warehouse logistics of the company to the management of specialized WMS, which will help automate and optimize warehouse processes, make them transparent and traceable, and will increase personnel efficiency indicators.

The Profmet Grup SRL warehouse as of January 2022 has an area of ​ ​ 5,000 square meters. m, which can store more than 10,000 SKU. Previously, only part of the warehouse operations was automated and managed by the corporate information system. The warehouse performed part of the tasks with shipping documentation, part was performed using paper technology, which led to the need to create documents manually.

With the implementation of WMS, it became possible to simultaneously select several orders by one employee, cluster selection. Scheduled replenishment planning is carried out not only by min/max, but also by order requirements. Due to the presence of different types of pallets in the warehouse, the functionality of the cell sections is used, which allows you to take into account the type of storage space to be placed and optimally use the storage space. Shelf life and batches are now tracked on the WMS side. When selecting, the process of packing small goods is implemented, after which a label with information about the packed quantity is sent from the shipping documentation to the printer.

Due to the specifics of the stored product and the need for a different approach to handling warehouse operations, different cell bypass rules are configured.

The packaged selection process is implemented in such a way that it is possible to change the quantity to be packaged in a particular container depending on various parameters. In the general case, packing occurs as follows: the product that is selected in zip-bags has a feature that is transmitted from the CMS. Based on this, the system tells the employee a sequence of actions, and the employee directly during the selection process performs packing and sends to print labels indicating the actually packed quantity.

The packaging process after picking allows you to assign a unique number to each load center and track the current location, which helps reduce the search for cargo places during shipment.

The AXELOT WMS X5 system was integrated with the corporate information system using the message queuing service.
