Roselectronika Holding of Rostec State Corporation has begun the production of mechanical units for the management of functional bionic prostheses of hands. As part of the finished products, mechanical units are responsible for carrying out grasping movement by the hand of the prosthesis. This was reported by Roselektronika on January 21, 2022.

The bionic prosthesis is controlled by surface electromyographic sensors fixed in the inner sleeve. The signal from the sensors is transmitted to a small motor that drives the brush.

The products are manufactured by order of the resident "Skolkovo" - the company "Motorika." As part of Roselektroniki, the assembly of mechanical units is carried out by TsNITI Tekhnomash.

At TsNITI "Technomash," the mechanical part of the INDY prosthesis is assembled, consisting of an electric motor, a drive, a system of gears, a metal frame and metal fingers. The assembled products are supplied to Motorika, where electronic components and software, as well as massing parts, are installed on the mechanical unit.

Cooperation with Motorika for TsNITI Tekhnomash is an opportunity to diversify production and increase the share of civilian products produced. To assemble new products, the company equipped workplaces and our specialists quickly mastered the assembly of units for functional prostheses.
