Superdao is an American developer of operating systems for cryptocurrency projects (DAO, Decentralized Autonomous Organization - analogues of LLC in cryptocurrency), founded in 2021 by St. Petersburg programmer Yuri Lifshits. The Superdao stack covers key areas of the DAO life cycle:

  • Simple and fast DAO creation;
  • Expense control panel;
  • Directory of participants with distribution of NFT and tokens;
  • Marketplace for DAO;
  • Open ecosystem for third-party DAO tools, etc.

History

2022: Raising $10.5 million

At the end of January 2022, Superdao announced the attraction of $10.5 million in investments. The funding round was led by SignalFire with the participation of One Block Capital, Fika Ventures, Pear Ventures, Shima Capital and private investors, including the founders of 1inch and employees of OpenSea and Coinbase.

According to the results of this investment transaction, Superdao was valued at $160 million. The startup intends to spend the funds received on increasing the number of personnel (by the end of January 2022, the company employs 25 people), opening an office in Moscow and operating processes.

According to Superdao CEO and founder Yuri Lifshits, the startup plans to become a major developer of products for decentralized autonomous organizations. She wants to develop a versatile tool for creating and managing DAO so that users can launch their projects with a single click and expand them.

Co-founder of the Davidovs VC Foundation Nikolai Davydov calls DAO technology "very promising." He believes that the size of the round and the score that Superdao received during it were larger than usual for startups at this stage.
