2022: GT56UHD sensors with "through housing" mounting

On January 28, 2022, Garmin announced that Garmin GT56UHD transmitter sensors, which provide ultra-clear echo images of objects, structures and fish passing under the boat, are now available with installation "through the hull."

The GT56 transduser is a universal 3-in-1 system that includes scanning echolots of lateral (SideVü) and lower ClearVü) scans with ultra-high resolution, as well as a traditional CHIRP sonar with a clear image.

The lateral scan range for the 1000 kHz frequency of the GT56UHD transduser is 20% greater than the earlier GT54 model. The power of the GT56UHD compared to its predecessor increased from 350 W to 500 W, which allows you to obtain a clearer image of the underwater relief and fish, including at high boat speeds.

By obtaining three scanning frequencies - 455, 800 and 1000 kHz at a power of 500 W - fishermen can achieve optimal results when working at any depth. The traditional CHIRP sonar with a broadband in the field of high frequencies allows you to view clear fish designations in the form of arcs with minimal "noise" and provides excellent separation of targets at a depth of up to 240 m under the ship.

Bright color palettes of scanning echolots allow you to easily detect targets against the background of underwater structures.

Compatibility with Garmin Echo Cartplotters

GT56 transdusers with "through the housing" mounting are compatible with the following cartplotters:

  • GPSMAP 8400xsv.
  • GPSMAP 7x3 xsv, GPSMAP 9x3 xsv и GPSMAP 12x3 xsv.
  • GPSMAP 7x2 and GPSMAP 9x2 (do not support GT56 without a GCV 20 xsv black box).
  • ECHOMAPTM Ultra.
  • ECHOMAP UHD sv.

Complete set

The model is available for ordering in two versions - one transduser GT56UHD-TH or two transdusers in the package at once (GT56UHD-THP). The kit also includes a stainless steel rod, a fairing, an insulating plate and washers, an extension cable, mounting fasteners, and documentation.
