2022: Implementation of "Virtual PBX" from Rostelecom

On February 2, 2022, the integrated digital services and solutions provider Rostelecom announced that it had replaced the physically and morally obsolete telecommunications infrastructure of the Federal Treasury with a virtual exchange in more than  1,800 offices throughout the country. In total, over 38 thousand employees of the department were able to use a modern service.

The project is involved. The domestic equipment and software transmission medium data is a Virtual private network service (), IP VPN provided by Rostelecom.

"Virtual PBX" is a digital service with which you can receive and distribute calls among employees, which allows you to process more incoming calls. To use the service, you only need access to the Internet or VPN and telephone sets. The service operates on secure servers and Rostelecom equipment, and access to it is provided through a simple and understandable web interface.

The service does not require equipment and maintenance costs. Rostelecom provides users with city numbers, virtual multi-channel city number or 8-800.

The modern service also allows you to organize contact centers and hotlines, keep statistics and monitoring calls, record and analyze conversations, and create a corporate network with short numbering. The virtual PBX also has additional services: voice mail, voice menu, music instead of beeps, call hold function, etc.
