2022: Huawei WiFi Mesh 3
On February 8, 2022, Huawei Consumer Business Group (BG) introduced the HUAWEI WiFi Mesh 3 wireless router, expanding the line of solutions for organizing a home network. Routers are available in two configurations and provide Wi-Fi 6 + connectivity for more than 250 different devices over an area of up to 600 m2. Thanks to support for the Wi-Fi 6 + standard, the router data rate is up to 3000 Mbps, and HarmonyOS Mesh + technology provides wide signal coverage and proper transmission speed for all connected users.
According to the company, HUAWEI WiFi Mesh 3 supports a dual-band network and the WiFi 6 + standard, which allows transmitting up to 2402 Mbps at 5 GHz and up to 574 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. In total, at two frequencies, the router supports a data rate of up to 3000 Mbps.
HUAWEI WiFi Mesh 3 is equipped with four signal amplifiers, each of which serves its own frequency range. This solution allows one HUAWEI WiFi Mesh 3 module to provide coverage of 200 m2. At the same time, users can combine the three routers to form a network with a total range of 600 m2. In addition, HUAWEI WiFi Mesh 3 can support the simultaneous connection of 250 devices, from laptops and tablets to smartphones and smart speakers, providing users with a stable connection for reliable access to video conferencing, Internet television and network video games.
Thanks to Harmony OS Mesh + technology, the router supports the creation of dual-band networks that combine several modules and allow users of devices to seamlessly switch between them to ensure proper connection in all corners of the apartment or house.
HarmonyOS Mesh + also supports seamless roaming, which includes eight roaming protocols, which reduces the delay in switching between routers to 50 ms3 and allows users to move around the house without changing the quality of connection to the network.
In addition, HUAWEI WiFi Mesh 3 has load balancing to redirect traffic to other frequency bands, which helps prevent network congestion.
To configure HUAWEI WiFi Mesh 3, users need to connect routers to power supplies and follow the instructions in HUAWEI AI Life. The router has three adaptive gigabit WAN/LAN ports, which allows you to connect WAN and Ethernet LAN cables to any of them.
With NFC support, users can connect their smartphones to a wireless network with one touch.
HUAWEI AI Life provides an extensive set of management tools, such as Smart Diagnostics, to help you fix network problems. Users can also view the visualization of the heat map of the network cover to plan the placement of routers and avoid blind spots.
In addition, with the help of the application, it is possible to access a complete list of connected devices with the ability to disable any unwanted or unidentified devices from them. You can also use parental control settings to set time and availability limits for children. content
HUAWEI WiFi Mesh 3 protects all connected devices with HUAWEI HomeSec technology. It provides comprehensive protection against harmful attacks viruses and with Anti-Brute Force and LAN systems. Firewall The standard authentications and WPA3 enciphering provide additional protection for connected devices.
The HUAWEI WiFi Mesh 3 router in a white case will go on sale in two configuration options in HUAWEI branded stores and partner stores from February 25, 2022. The recommended retail price of sets with two and three routers will be 14,990 and 19,990 rubles, respectively.
